| Gotu Kola is regarded as the most widely used herb in Indian Medicine. It is used as a nerve tonic. An old Indian proverb translated reads; A leaf or two a day will keep old age away.
Gotu Kola is a creeping marsh plant that contains no cola or caffeine, as its name would suggest. A member of the parsley family, it grows in tropical areas and is used in some places as ground cover to retard soil erosion. It grows primarily in India and some parts of Africa. It is also found in America, where it has generally been considered only a food for wild animals.
It contains many nutrients that support the body's vitality and feed the nervous system, including vitamins A, B, E, G and K, and magnesium. It's therapeutic sse is for the temporary relief of pain of arthritis and as a general tonic for use in times of physical and mental exertion.
